HULL 01 built by Seahorse Maring
(the Diesel Duck folks)
This boat started out as a 43-footer. Of course a boat growing a foot is not particularly novel. It is, in fact, pretty common. In this case, however, the foot was added and boat built by a second couple who saw her in our White Book. The boat offered the space and the builder offered the economy to allow them to achieve their dream.
The boat's home port Norfolk, Virginia made for great cruising of the Chesapeake. That said her stout construction are suitable for whatever cruising grounds appeal to you.
All steel construction make this a very affordable solution. This is a boat with a lot of room and even more of potential. The builder of our first boat raved about the quality of our design materials compared with other projects he had done.

There is a lot of boat in this small package. Without a doubt that is the first impression that most have when they board Mi Sueno. She literally has dramatically more accommodations than much bigger boats. Still she carries that extra capacity with grace and style. The wide body layout and covered aft deck are a big part of that equation. Standing in the salon the space is impressive. The view through the large salon windows adds to that feeling. Do large windows sound like a problem? Remember a large window on a small boat is really a small window on a large boat. The only necessity is to make the windows as stout as the rest of the design. If you are heading offshore keeping them non-opening is also probably a good idea.
This boat was built with all steel construction for economy, however, an aluminum deckhouse would be a worthwhile option. Designed for good offshore characteristics, the lighter deckhouse would only improve her already capable characteristics.
Mi Sueno offers the amenities for a cruising couple with visiting kids, grandkids or occasional guests. A single
large head and a second stateroom or office are standard. The focal point below, however, is the grand owner's cabin. Other
options, of course, are possible limited only by your imagination and the space available.
The pilot house is particularly impressive. It includes not only the space for 2-Stidd or other quality helm chairsand all the proper ships equipment, but a also a comfortable settee for your guests to enjoy the ride. A watch berth aft is also provided, with an obvious nod to a boat with true offshore capabilities.
I truly believe this boat offers an enormous amount of capability within a small and economical package. I encourage you to check it out.
